Join Apiary in the Sky this Giving Tuesday, on November 28, 2023 for our 2nd Annual Fabyan Wellness Drive.
We will be hosting a celebratory day of giving, community and wellness by inviting citizens to donate nonperishable food items, toiletries and winter coats to support those in need. We will also be unveiling our new community fridge!
Head over to 149 Fabyan Place, Newark, NJ where we will be stationed at our community garden to collect and distribute food, toiletries and winter coats.
Can’t make it out to donate? We will also be collecting these items leading up to Giving Tuesday at 304 University Ave 2nd floor, Newark, NJ 07102.

About Apiary in the Sky
Welcome to our hive right here in the heart of Newark, New Jersey! Apiary in the Sky, LLC originally "Arkhive" was founded in 2020 as a response to various health risk factors in the city. Cities are often centers for pollution, poor air quality, contaminated soil and many other environmental issues that affect the quality of life for residents.
Utilizing the City of Newark's "Adopt-a-lot" leasing program, we convert vacant lots into apiaries, urban farms, and pollinator gardens for $1 a year per property. This has not only allowed us reverse years of systemic neglect and decay, but also replace it with rich ecosystems that repair the land with potential to heal our communities. By 2025 we project to have at minimum 25 beehives spread throughout the five wards of Newark.
